A bigger picture for every AOI opportunity
The AOI opportunity map now shows real footprints and off-nadir access
Every overflight opportunity's detail page now includes a map view: your spacecraft's real ground track and its payload's actual field-of-view footprint, playable across the whole opportunity window or shown as one accumulated shape. Off-nadir access is now genuinely computed, not approximated: declare how far off-nadir a payload may be pointed, independently along two directions, and opportunities a straight-down-only view would miss now appear. Every opportunity's detail tells you exactly which direction, or both, made it reachable, and flags plainly when your payload's optics can't yet be combined across both.
Improvements
- Ground stations: creating or editing a station is now one page instead of a multi-step wizard, with a coordinate minimap and one clear choice between a constant minimum elevation and an uploaded elevation mask. Pass results now genuinely honor whichever one you chose, and the station panel shows exactly which limit is in force.
- Forecast inputs: open the new Provenance view on any area of interest to see exactly which orbit, attitude, and payload inputs produced its forecast, compared against your spacecraft's current values.
- Opportunity timeline: compare which spacecraft contribute overflight opportunities to an area of interest, and how often, across the whole forecast horizon in one shared view.
Fixes
- Maneuvers: operational forecasts now correctly account for approved maneuver burns instead of ignoring them.
- Spacecraft: drag and reflectivity coefficients now correctly use your own entered values instead of silently falling back to a default.
- Overflight opportunities: fixed a crash when opening certain opportunity details.
API
- Spacecraft and payloads: look up a spacecraft by NORAD ID, COSPAR ID, name, or your own external reference key. Payloads are now their own resource with dedicated endpoints, separate from the spacecraft record.
